To debut Latinx artist Karol G’s new song “Tusa” during the Latin Grammys, we created a first-of-its-kind custom DJ rig, from a bank of eight Google Pixel phones. Each phone was equipped with Motion Sense technology that captures hand movements and gestures. We partnered with creative technology agency Deep Local for the build and loaded each phone with a different sample, allowing the the DJ to construct the song and control the lights in real time with the wave of his hand.
